The government is unable to solve the water crisis with its catastrophic consequences, which hit many provinces, especially the south, and negatively affected the agricultural sector in addition to causing the displacement of many families.
In this context, warned the Technical Committee in the Council of the province of Dhi Qar of the drought is very harsh to the areas of the marshes may overshadow the migration of the people and affected the fish and animal wealth.
The head of the committee Hassan al-Asadi said in a press statement that the current situation in the proportions and discharge of water is very frightening to the whole of the province, especially areas of the marshes, which cause them to complete drought, which will reflect on the water environment available in the riverbeds, threatening them with a real disaster for biodiversity, including fish and animal wealth, .
The Technical Committee in the Council of the province of Dhi Qar had predicted, last Thursday, that the province is exposed to a crisis of acute water shortage as it falls in the fall of the rivers in light of the low levels and the recent fire, noting that the next session of the Council will be devoted to discuss the implications of this file.
