The Ministry of Finance complies to the pressure of owners of capital and influence

Retired retirees accused the Finance Ministry of succumbing to the pressure of the influential people and their claims, and demanded payment of their debts arising from the suspension of end of service benefits suspended for about a year.

"The Ministry of Finance is complying to pressure the owners of capital and influence, such as contractors and senior farmers, but ignore the demands of the retirees, despite the difference in characterization and the nature of performance and services," said retired protesters in front of the ministry building.

"The suspension of end-of-service benefits, as a legal right that benefits the life of the remaining pensioner and his family, is shameful and raises questions about the dual nature and nepotism of government decisions and the Minister of Finance and Agency, Prime Minister Haider Abadi himself."

They stressed the need to expedite the payment of end of service benefits to retirees as soon as possible in order to provide the opportunity for a segment that has provided great services during its lifetime and deserves to be treated properly.
