(Al-Furat News) The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, announced his position on the formation of the new Iraqi government.
"We affirm our support for Iraq and we look forward to all its political forces to achieve comprehensive understandings that meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people," Al-Thani said in his speech at the opening ceremony of the forty-seventh ordinary session of the Shura Council at his headquarters in Doha on Tuesday.
He congratulated the Emir of Qatar on "forming the new Iraqi government" and wished her "success in the service of her people."
On this occasion, the Emir of Qatar touched on the most prominent features of the State's policy internally and externally, and its positions on various regional and international issues
