Reform blocks offer a new candidate to fill the defense portfolio

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Bloc in the Coalition for Reconstruction and Reform on Tuesday nominated Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi as his new name for the post of defense minister.
The heads of six parliamentary blocs affiliated with the Alliance of Reform to support the "nomination (Muhannad Hussam al-Din al-Bayati) to take over the defense portfolio for his efficiency and professionalism in addition to his administrative and field experience in the security file, and is a national figure politically independent."
