The head of the Communications Department in the Turkish presidency, Fakhruddin Alton, said that the aggressors on the Turkish base in Dohuk province in northern Iraq had infiltrated civilians in order to disturb relations between the Turkish army and the people.
Alton said in a press statement, during which he addressed the attack carried out by persons incited by the PKK, and resulted in partial damage to the vehicle and military equipment.
Allon called on all the media to "be cautious about the misleading activities of the PKK, recalling deceptive operations by the terrorist organization in the past."
He explained that "the terrorists of the separatist organization, exercised misinformation through social networking sites in relation to the attack," stressing "the absence of casualties among members of the Turkish army, indicating that the damage was limited to some equipment."
He added that "the Turkish armed forces have taken the necessary measures around the base, to prevent the loss of civilians."
He stressed that Turkey is determined to continue close cooperation with the people of Duhok province.
In the same vein, "Anatolia" learned from Turkish military sources that terrorists from the "Beka Ka" wore civilian clothes, threw stones at the base and then increased their assaults.
The sources confirmed that the attack resulted in partial damage to some vehicles and equipment, while not hurt any Turkish soldier.
She stressed that terrorists always resort to a tactic to create a confrontation between members of the Turkish army and the people of the region, indicating that the Turkish side take all measures in this regard.
She explained that the situation in the base under control, and all members of the army on their job.
The government of the province announced yesterday evening, the killing of a demonstrator and wounding 10 others during the storming of a military headquarters of the Turkish army in the district of Shiladze of the province of Dohuk.
