According to information obtained by Mawazin News from a well-informed political medium, "the construction coalition led by Hadi al-Amiri, is still insisting on presenting Fayadh as the sole candidate for the post of interior minister in the next session of parliament."
He added that "the construction alliance Egypt to its candidate, and the Alliance of Reform Egypt to reject it."
Political sources said earlier that negotiations are under way in the construction to give Fayadh the post of deputy prime minister for security affairs or to retain his post in exchange for giving up the portfolio of the Interior.
