The Minister of Commerce, Mohammad Hashim Al-Ani, announced Sunday the marketing of 1,123,731,000 tons of local wheat in nine provinces until 18 May.
Al-Ani said in a statement received by Mawazine News that the proceeds of marketing the wheat crop for the period from April 15, 2019 to May 18, 2019 amounted to 1,123,331,000 tons.
"The total quantity of wheat flour in the second class was 79361 tons of soft wheat, second class, while the third grade reached 2298 tons," he said.
The Minister of Commerce, that "Wasit province topped the provinces in terms of quantities of wheat marketed."
"The provinces that started the marketing campaign are Baghdad / Rusafa, Dhi Qar, Basra, Maysan, Wasit, Samawah, Najaf, Diwaniya, Hilla, Karbala and Babil."
Trade Minister Mohammed Hashim al-Ani said on Thursday, May 16, 2019 that 883122 tons of local wheat had been marketed in nine governorates until May 15.
The Minister also announced (Wednesday 15 May 2019) the marketing of 784535 tons of local wheat in nine governorates until 14 May.
