The General Administration of Customs announced on Saturday the seizure of a number of human medicines in violation of import controls and regulations at Basra International Airport.
The agency explained in a statement to the agency Sada that "its staff working at Basra airport was able to control the medicines for dentistry in the possession of a traveler inside the airport terminal."
She confirmed that "the legal procedures were taken against the violation in accordance with its effective law No. 23 of 1984 amended." The Authority called for "the need to abide by controls and instructions and not to bring goods and goods in commercial quantities through passenger lounges at airports because laws and regulations do not allow this and can ship these materials through air cargo after obtaining official approvals."
