    The Oil Ministry on Tuesday called on Australian companies to invest in oil, gas and energy.
    "Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Thamer Abbas Ghadhban met with Australian Ambassador to Iraq Joan Lundez and her accompanying delegation to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the energy sector," a ministry statement said.
    During the meeting, Ghadhban stressed the importance of "strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields, especially in the oil, gas and energy sector, calling on Australian companies to invest in the available opportunities in this field."
    For her part, Australian Ambassador "Joan Lundies" her country's desire to strengthen cooperation with Iraq in all fields, especially in the oil, gas and energy sector.
