Oil responds to politicians with points on blacklisting a Gulf company operating in Iraq

The Iraqi Oil Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday in response to the statements of politicians on its contract with a Gulf company listed on the "black list", announcing that the Ministry of Planning did not inform them regarding the suspension of the activities of that company.
In response to the statements of some politicians in a number of media about the Gulf Supply Company (GCC), a secondary contracting companies, the ministry said in a statement received to Shafaq News, it "put these facts before the citizens and public opinion and concerned in order to clarify the facts and know how In which it is dealt with by some politicians and media professionals and summarized the following points:

In accordance with the letter received by the Ministry of Representatives from the House of Representatives - the Committee on Economy and Investment Issue No. 75 on 8/5/2018 the Committee demanded to stop dealing with the company until the verification of the information contained in it, and according to this letter the ministry took the fundamental procedures to stop dealing with the company.

According to the letter from the House of Representatives / the Committee on Economy and Investment No. 81 of 11/6/2018, which stated that "the information received about the company" is inaccurate and unreliable "and (that there are parties launching false and fabricated rumors intended to harm the national economy Its purpose is to expel investors from Iraq so please cancel the content of our book above and cancel the actions taken against the company), and according to this book canceled its previous decision to stop dealing with the company above.
4. It is clear from the above books that many of those who address these issues are politicians and media either do not have sufficient information on the topics they are engaged in, or that they know and distort the true interests, goals and intentions at the expense of the public interest and defame others.
5. The Ministry of Oil is keen to address the ministries and authorities concerned to verify the correctness of information on various issues and files, and that it will not hesitate to take the fundamental procedures as required by the public interest towards violations of any nature, in compliance with the policy of construction and reform and fighting corruption.
6. The Ministry of Oil appeals to all concerned parties and individuals to put the national interest above all else as it addresses the oil issue and to keep the ministry away from political intersections and narrow interests, and calls on everyone to contribute to support the future plans of the Ministry for a better future for our country and our dear people.
