The head of the national wisdom movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the competent authorities to redouble efforts to care for the elderly on the occasion of the International Day for them.
Ammar al-Hakim said in a statement received by the Euphrates News, a copy of it, "On the International Day of the Elderly and from the teachings of all the laws of heavenly and humanitarian stress the importance of giving the elderly adequate attention that provides them with a decent, healthy and sound environment to live in safety and stability."
"Let this day be a cause of human solidarity for the fairness of the oldest in raising the new youth or serving the country from a job or social position."
Mr. Ammar al-Hakim called on "the competent authorities to redouble their efforts to care for this segment of the elderly.
