An Irish fighter reveals the plans of the Turks and the scenario of demographic change of the Kurdish regions

[rtl]An Irish fighter who has just returned from the YPG in Syria has revealed the ambitions of the Turks from their current military operation in the Kurdish areas of Syria.[/rtl]
[rtl]The Irish Times interviewed Morgan Mansfield, who joined Waterford, Republic of Ireland, for the YPG in Syria in 2017, where he left Afrin after Turkey succeeded in controlling it.[/rtl]
[rtl]The YPG is the largest component of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which enjoys US support, and the Kurds are a key component in the formation of both the YPG or SDF .[/rtl]
[rtl]Mansfield's role was primarily to help war victims and victims of bullets, mines and suicide bombs.[/rtl]
[rtl]Following are the highlights of the dialogue with the Irish fighter, in conjunction with the military operation launched by Turkey in northern Syria.[/rtl]
[rtl]- What does the YPG want?[/rtl]
[rtl]Mansfield: "They do not want an independent state, they just want autonomy in the various republics covered by Kurdistan."[/rtl]
[rtl]- Has Kurdish allies abandoned them?[/rtl]
[rtl]Mansfield: "Yes, what is happening now by Russia and the United States is an attempt to please Turkey. Until last year, the Russians were giving assistance to the Kurds and it continued until they gave the green light to Turkey."[/rtl]
[rtl]- What does Turkey want?[/rtl]
[rtl]Mansfield: "They want ( the Turks) to make a demographic change in the north. Want to sow two million or three million Syrian refugees there, which will demographic change dramatically in the region. The northern Syria diverse, Kurds and Armenians, and Arabs, and Assyrian Christians. If you switch demographic, you do create a new front against the Assad regime . Unless there is someone else wants to help YPG, all these forces that saved the Assad regime for years, such as Iran and Russia, it will have to deal with a new rebellion in the north , if Turkey succeeds in its plan. this will provide Conflict for years and years and I see no winner. "[/rtl]
[rtl]- How was the community in the Kurdish areas?[/rtl]
[rtl]Mansfield: "There was a sense of community. There were social programs. Women put a lot of effort into the social aspect of the revolution. They don't want to be in the rebel camp or in the camp of regime supporters either. Pluralism, very equal, very supportive of women . "[/rtl]
[rtl]- How did the Turkish troops work there?[/rtl]
[rtl]Mansfield: “The Turks are reusing the militants. They have given them a new badge, called themselves the Free Syrian Army, and used aerial bombardment to pressure the population to evacuate the area .[/rtl]
[rtl]- What do you expect to happen?[/rtl]
[rtl]Mansfield: "I'll be optimistic. You are dealing with power (YPG) dedicated too, which I swore to the struggle for life. They do not marry, there are a large number of supporters of the population. Last night, I was watching people in the march.
