Hamed al-Mutlaq: We need to form a rescue government

He said in a press statement, "The resignation of the government did not come at the request of large or small blocs but rather in response to the popular movement." He pointed out that "the political blocs violated the constitution when it brought the government of Abdul-Mahdi without disclosing the name of the largest bloc that is being talked about now."
He added, "The government resigned with the pressure of the street, and the natural thing now is that the largest bloc is the people." Noting that "the most appropriate for the Iraqi situation now is the formation of a rescue government, because the country is going through abnormal circumstances, but the opinions of political forces do not go in this direction."
