Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi received a phone call from British Prime Minister [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/3625/%D8%A8%D9%88%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%B3 %D8%AC%D9%88%D9%86%D8%B3%D9%88%D9%86]Boris Johnson[/url] .
The Prime Minister explained / according to a statement of his office / the reasons for the events and the sequence of events and the decision of the House of Representatives to withdraw foreign forces, and affirmed Iraq’s constant keenness to strengthen its relations with the international community and achieve common interests, and the government’s steadfast pursuit to establish positive cooperative relations and not to allow Iraq to be turned into an arena of conflicts, And the importance of continued international cooperation against ISIS.
For his part, the British Prime Minister affirmed his great sympathy for Iraq and his understanding of the difficulties he faces.
He also affirmed the UK's full commitment to respecting the security, stability and sovereignty of Iraq and strengthening friendship between the two countries and its desire to visit Iraq, calling for action through diplomatic channels to defuse the crisis and reduce escalation.
