ARBIL (Kurdistan 24) - The Kurdish deputy in the Iraqi parliament, Ahmad Haji Rashid, published a text of a text conversation with Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Allawi , in which he considered the salaries of employees and dues of farmers in the Kurdistan Region, "right demands", indicating that they will be among the priorities of his work.
The federal government did not pay the farmers' dues in the Kurdistan Region for the years 2014, 2015 and 2016 for the wheat crop.

Rashid wrote on his Facebook account that he sent a message to Muhammad Allawi, before he was officially appointed to office, in which he expressed his conditional support in exchange for a guarantee to pay the salaries of employees and farmers' dues in the Kurdistan Region and the inclusion of the Peshmerga as part of the defense system for Iraq.
The Iraqi President, Barham Salih, commissioned the engineer and former minister Muhammad Allawi to form the new government to succeed the resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi.
The deputy published the text of talks between him and Allawi, through the application of instant conversations, WhatsApp, dated 28 of last month. Kurdistan 24 was not able to reach Allawi's office for comment.

Allawi said, according to what was published by the representative of the Islamic Group, "These demands are right because they are linked to the rights of citizens in general and the right of vulnerable people like the peasants in particular."
He continued, "And this is one of my priorities from a legitimate perspective."

Allawi gave a speech yesterday evening to the Iraqis pledging to fight corruption and form a strong government, but he did not address in his speech to the Kurdistan Region.

A positive atmosphere prevailed in the relations between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government since Adel Abdul Mahdi took over the government after unprecedented tensions that followed the independence referendum in 2017.
The Kurdistan Regional Government says it seeks to consolidate these ties within an institutional framework that does not depend on people to end years of disputes related to the budget, energy files and disputed areas.
