BAGHDAD - Mawazine News
, the media office of the Minister of Culture, Abdul Amir al-Hamdani, commented on Wednesday on what was published regarding the amount of petty cash in the ministry, while revealing a fallout campaign against the minister that contained slanders and lies.
The office stated in a statement received by / Mawazine News / a copy of it: "After the escalation of the campaigns calling for the exclusion of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Abdul Amir al-Hamdani, from any ministerial changes expected and keeping him Minister of Culture by the cultural, artistic and archaeological circles from northern Iraq to the south and after having confirmed For all fair people, especially in cultural circles, Al-Hamdani is one of the most successful ministers in the ministerial formation that was formed a little over a year ago. "
The website continued: "Unidentified and funded websites have spread to slander and lies with the intention of insulting the ministry and the minister personally, who was known for his integrity and the great achievements that were made during his time until intellectuals, artists, and senior writers described him as the best and most honorable minister in the history of the Iraqi Ministry of Culture."
He added: "In response to these slanders and allegations, we would like to clarify the following facts:
1 - What was published regarding the ministry's petty cash amount of 15 million dinars is the lowest among all Iraqi ministries.
Second: The minister ordered that the petty cash be reduced immediately upon assuming the position from 20 million dinars to 15 A million dinars, and the issue of high petty cash in some ministries, which amount to twice the petty cash of the Ministry of Culture, did not make any noise.
Third: Al-Hamdani is one of the few ministers, perhaps the first of them to provide a financial disclosure statement.
Fourth: The amount of petty cash at the level of a ministry the size of the Ministry of Culture is one of the largest owners among other ministries and the poorest in terms of budget requires taking into account the conditions and conditions of hundreds of employees with limited salaries and wages.
Fifth: The Minister adopted, for more than once, the costs of treatment for a number of intellectuals who faced difficult health conditions by deducting a portion of the amount of petty cash.
Sixth: Those with bad intentions who were irritated by the successes of the ministry during the era of al-Hamdani should know that the minister ranks among the best archaeologists in the world and lectures in prestigious international universities before his estranging and these qualifications are enough to remove him from the minor matters and petty cash, as he is the only one who has not changed his phone number since 2005 To this day, he is humble and committed to his friends, colleagues and lovers, and this is an honor.
Seventh: In addition to the foregoing, most of the intellectuals are not employees of the ministry, as the poet does not have to be an employee in the culture, so he may deserve the reward that is from the powers of the minister, and the like is the sculptor, novelist, and painter, and most of them are not employees, and they are honored with a letter of thanks or a cartoon appreciation certificate or a glass called (shield) ) It is not considered a distinction of the Ministry because most fictitious organizations do this, and many in the cultural milieus know that the rewards of artists granted by the Minister to sick and destitute writers and artists reach 500,000 dinars, all of which fall within the amount of petty cash.
Eighth: We present here only one example of the Minister's initiatives when he instructed to purchase 30 iron boxes for the Iraqi Museum at an amount of 3 million dinars from the amount of petty cash to save the artifacts because the budget does not include the purchase of materials of this type.
Ninth: The Minister provides financial aid to the sick and indigent from the petty cash amount for some employees, because the benefits for the employees are currently suspended.
Finally: Enough with the fall of those who work, find and devote all their energies to serving Iraq and its people, and to you the true corrupt. Preserving Iraq and its people, and God is behind the intention. ”Ended 6/29 n
