    The State Real Estate Department has contributed to providing five million residential plots that will be distributed among citizens in Baghdad and all the country’s governorates within the housing initiative announced by the Prime Minister, confirming that this file be referred to the Ministry of Construction, Housing and General Municipalities in order to complete its plans in order to start the process of distributing them as soon as possible.
    The director of the department affiliated to the Ministry of Finance, Ahmed Al-Rubaie, said in an interview with the official Al-Sabah newspaper, which was viewed by Al-Iqtisad News, that his department had, in accordance with the government program decreed by the Prime Minister and since last year, prepared all the lands necessary for distribution among the segments covered by the decision of the Council of Ministers, taken on It is undertaken by walking in two directions. The first is to sort out all properties belonging to the Ministry of Finance, as all governorates in the center and south of the country have been visited.
    He added that the work is going on in the provinces of Anbar and Diyala in this direction and in connection with the sorting of those lands, as the approval of the Minister of Finance was obtained and according to direct guidance, disclosing the agreement with the governors in order to sort the lands and distribute among the segments covered by this initiative.
    Al-Rubaie added that the department has also moved towards inspecting the properties covered by Law 80 and referring thousands of acres that were included in the basic design of the municipal departments that were referred to the Ministry of Construction and Housing for screening and building low-cost housing complexes and they are fully serviced by the ministry for the purpose of including them also in the housing initiative .
    He stressed that his department in Baghdad created vast lands for this purpose in the regions: Al-Hussainiya, Al-Nahrawan and Abu Ghraib, and they were transferred to housing and municipalities according to the law in order to build housing units, explaining that the size of the plots of land that were sorted and allocated for the initiative is sufficient for all Iraqis and their numbers exceed five million.
    The Director of the State Real Estate Department pointed out that vast and large lands were sorted, setting the example in Al-Diwaniya Governorate, where enough lands were built to build a new governorate, noting in the same matter that Baghdad witnessed the sorting of thousands of dunums in the Al-Hussainiya and Tariq camps in Abu Ghraib and Al-Nahrawan area, as they were transferred To the Ministry of Housing and Municipalities in order to build housing complexes, in addition to these areas of the capital witnessed the separation of lands in order to be distributed among citizens. 
    He stated that the plots of land that were sorted by 200 square meters for people with limited income and covered by social care, and 300 square meters, which will be sold to citizens at a price of 75 thousand dinars per meter, get Cajur services for delivery, in addition to sorting plots with an area of ​​400 square meters, which will be sold to citizens at the prevailing price In those areas for those who wish to do so, in addition to those with affordable income, confirming in the same matter that his department has accomplished its tasks with this file and the subject is currently the responsibility of the Ministry of Construction and Housing in order to complete the plans in order to start distributing them among the citizens as soon as possible.
