BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari met with a delegation from the national coalition (Watania) headed by Mahmoud al-Mashhadani and discussed the ongoing consultations between the political blocs to choose the three presidencies.
A statement by Jaafari's office said: "The national delegation included, Abdullah al-Jubouri, Sheikh Karim Shaalan and Hassan Shwayrid." noting that "the meeting also discussed the most prominent developments in political and security files and the ongoing consultations between the political blocs to choose the three presidencies."
The two sides confirmed, "the need to overcome the obstacles and to intensify efforts and constructive dialogues to reach an agreement between the national forces to accelerate the formation of the three presidencies and complete the broken laws and start political and security and a comprehensive economic reforms contribute to achieving the aspirations of the Iraqi people."
