The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament confirmed, on Thursday, that the budget law will not be voted on, unless it includes additional and sufficient financial allocations for Thi Qar and other poor governorates.
Al-Kaabi said, in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, and during his presidency of an expanded meeting on the conditions of Dhi Qar Governorate, in the presence of the governorate's deputies, the ministers of finance, planning, electricity, health, oil, agriculture, reconstruction, municipalities and labor, and the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, that we will not vote on the 2021 budget if it does not include Adequate additional financial allocations for Thi Qar and the poorest governorates.
”Al-Kaabi added,“ The Dhi Qar Provincial Reconstruction Fund is an important basic requirement that we will not give up under any circumstances, and it will be a first step for other governorates suffering from a lack of services and infrastructure. ”
He pointed out that "today's meeting did not come for political demands or purposes such as changing the position of the governor or otherwise, but to discuss ways to speed up the completion of late projects and solve the problems that the Dhi Qar governorate suffers from."
Al-Kaabi indicated that "the deputies of Dhi Qar governorate were instructed to urgently communicate with the people of the province and coordinate with the executive authorities to achieve the demands." Ended 29 / p4
