    (Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Minister of Planning, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, revealed today, Thursday, one of the "worst" projects that cost large sums of money without completion.
    The Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement that “Al Furat News” received a copy of it, that “the ministry is making great efforts to support and empower the private sector,” describing these efforts as one of the main tasks of the ministry. ”
    This came during his meeting with the head of the Contractors Union, Ali Al-Sanafi, and representatives of a number of Private sector companies implementing school buildings within the project number one for schools, which have been lagging behind for several years,
    according to the statement, “The meeting was attended by the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Planning, the general directors of government investment and sector planning departments in the ministry, and the director general of school buildings in the Ministry of Education.” The
    minister confirmed during the meeting. , "School buildings project number one, is one of the worst projects, which cost the budget large sums of money, without being completed," praising at the same time "the private sector companies that fulfilled their contractual obligations within this project."

    He pointed out that "these companies will resolve the issue of their financial dues that have been much overdue," noting that "there are important measures that will be taken to address the file of lagging schools, similar to those procedures for dealing with the file of lagging hospitals."
    According to Al-Ban, "During the meeting, they discussed the reality of the lagging schools and the nature of the measures that will be taken to resolve this file, and to pay the dues of companies that have completed their work, according to mechanisms that are not subject to administrative routine."
