The head of the Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee, Ali Al-Hamidawi, confirmed, on Monday, that the budget has allocated large sums of money to deal with lagging projects.
Al-Hamidawi said, "The tripartite budget (2023 - 2024 - 2025) allocated a large number for the investment budget, and 80% for lagging projects to be dealt with," noting that "this financial abundance is sufficient to deal with many lagging projects."
Al-Hamidawi added, "The tripartite budget has allocated large sums of money to deal with lagging projects, which amount to 1,000 projects."
He continued, "We need new infrastructure and superstructure projects, and these need other numbers, and what has been allocated to lagging projects addresses major problems in the governorates and ministries."
