    Today, Sunday, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi, identified the groups that have priority in the ration card, while confirming the tendency to withhold them from those whose salary exceeds one and a half million dinars.
    A statement by the ministry stated that Al-Rikabi emphasized "determining the priority in targeting with the ration card on a regular monthly basis for the groups benefiting from the ministry's services and those with limited income whose income is less than one and a half million dinars."
    Al-Rikabi directed, during his presiding over a meeting of the committee concerned with reforming the reality of the ration card, attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning Maher Hammad Johan, Director of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training and the Department of Planning and Studies, and representatives of the Ministry of Trade and the Federation of Trade Unions in Iraq, to ​​work to complete the basic requirements for organizing an electronic ration card for all and identifying the categories included in it “.
    The statement added, "The committee has completed its proposals in the working paper that will be presented to the Ministerial Council for the Economy and then to the Council of Ministers to issue a decision on the matter in the near future."
    He pointed out that “the committee has reached the necessity for the financial departments in all state ministries and their bodies to send salary lists to the Ministry of Trade for the purpose of boycotting them with the ration card data to exclude those whose salary exceeds one and a half million dinars, as well as directing official books to unions and trade unions of various kinds to supply the Ministry of Trade.” "With its database quickly, as well as asking the Ministry of the Interior and the Elections Commission to provide the Ministry of Commerce with a unified national card database and the electoral card, based on the decision of the Ministerial Council for the Economy for the purpose of the boycott.
    The statement continued, “During the meeting, priority was set for targeting the included groups, which are the beneficiaries of the social protection network, the unemployed, insured workers, retired people and people with disabilities, whose income is less than one and a half million dinars in order to include them with a full ration, while the card will be withheld from the groups that increase Its income is about a million and a half million dinars, including those residing outside Iraq, escapees from justice, the deceased, and other groups.
