, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, affirmed, on Tuesday, Baghdad's keenness to develop joint cooperation with the State of Kuwait. He discussed with the Kuwaiti side activating the work of the Iraqi-Kuwaiti joint committee.
A ministry statement, a copy of which was received by Mawazine News, stated that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein met today with his Kuwaiti counterpart Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers held in Doha."
The statement added, "The two sides discussed a number of issues related to bilateral relations, in light of the steady growth that these relations are witnessing."
The minister affirmed, "Baghdad's keenness to develop joint cooperation with Kuwait," expressing his aspiration to "continue to work to advance the distinguished relations between the two countries and develop them at all levels."
The statement continued, "The two sides discussed activating and following up the work of the Iraqi-Kuwaiti joint committee, and preparations for holding its work in Baghdad to discuss outstanding bilateral issues." Ended 29/A43
