{Economic: Al Furat News} The Border Ports Authority announced that the northern port of Umm Qasr port was able to seize (5) containers whose description of their goods as well as customs and tax fees were tampered with, which caused a waste of public money worth (70) million Iraqi dinars.

And she stated that "the seizure process took place outside the customs campus when the search and investigation was under control of our body, and its customs treatment was completed by the customs inspection committee affiliated to the Customs Center at the Basra Gate Station, contrary to the controls and instructions in force. And it
indicated that" the containers contain (satellite) devices (55,000 pieces), contrary to what It was mentioned in the customs transaction that there are (1500 satellite dishes and 4000 ceramic insulators cartons) in the containers’ content, as well as forgery in the delivery order issued by marine agencies and the absence of a conformity certificate and release document from the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control.
And she continued, "What was seized was referred to the Umm Qasr police station for the purpose of presenting it to the competent investigative judge to take the necessary legal measures against her and against the defaulters from the detection committee who completed the customs transaction, in contravention of the controls and instructions."
