Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, said on Wednesday that the market in the region will gain more freedom, and will witness fair competition and business movement.
This came during his meeting today with merchants in Sulaymaniyah.
Speaking about the private sector, he said: The government provides the necessary facilities to strengthen this sector, support the public sector in providing job opportunities, and activate the economic infrastructure.
Talabani stressed that no one can be allowed to interfere in trade affairs and monopolize the market, stressing that the duty of the security services is to provide stability and preserve the lives of citizens, and they should avoid politics and other conflicts.
In another part of his speech, he also referred to reducing red tape in official departments and institutions, and the government's plan to eliminate red tape by facilitating commercial transactions, and citizens' transactions in general, stressing that the authorities will be reduced to governorates and directorates in order to reduce routine procedures and provide better services to citizens.
