    The Minister of Trade, Dr. Alaa Ahmed Al-Jubouri, confirmed that the Iraqi government seeks, through the food basket project, to prepare food items for citizens of international origin, in good quantities and quality that befit the Iraqi family .
    Al-Jubouri said during his visit to the governmental Taji mill, that "the state seeks, through the food basket, to secure food security for citizens, as it is no longer possible to accept the processing of vocabulary that is not worthy of the dignity of the Iraqi citizen," explaining that "the food basket is a very large national project that requires efforts and hard work for its success."
    And he indicated that the processing of items within the basket with efficiency and good quality makes us face a great responsibility so that the quality of the processed flour is very good and with a high efficiency that is not less than the quality of the food basket that we have chosen from solid origins that differ from all previous imports .”
    Al-Jubouri added, "The Ministry of Commerce announced earlier the rehabilitation of all government mills within the framework of a plan to reform and rehabilitate these mills to raise the good quality they offer in the flour production process, and this needs developing its technical and technological capabilities through modern production lines that keep pace with the development taking place in the world ."
    The Minister of Trade stressed the importance of the supervisory teams of the Ministry of Commerce checking the flour supplied by private and governmental mills in all governorates through auditing and making surprise visits at all times of the day for the purpose of delivering good flour to citizens,” noting that “the importance of the General Company for Grain Manufacturing to form technical teams To rehabilitate government mills and their production lines in order to produce good flour .”
    The Minister valued the role of the civil mills, which he considered a key partner in the process of producing flour and preparing it for citizens quickly .
