    Today, Wednesday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers revealed the details of the new cities and the loans allocated to three sectors.
    The secretariat’s spokesman Haider Majid said, in a press statement, that “the Iraqi government has set among its priorities a plan to revitalize the private sector by supporting citizens to establish agricultural, industrial and commercial projects, in addition to encouraging them to buy and build housing units, and as a consequence the Central Bank launched an initiative to support Industrial and agricultural banks, and then their support for all segments of citizens.
    He added that "the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghazi, chaired the committee concerned with setting up a mechanism for granting loans to projects without interest or at reduced interest, to benefit from and supervise the amounts allocated to these projects."
    He pointed out that "the initiative included granting loans to housing projects, through housing fund loans, which will contribute to supporting the segment of citizens wishing to buy housing units, or build plots of land, especially since Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi launched the (Dari) initiative for housing, in addition to his directives. By creating new cities outside the basic design.”

    A spokesman for the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers confirmed that "the investment companies will be contracted to establish infrastructure on the plots of land allocated for the new cities, and to provide buildings and service projects within these cities."
    He continued, "The initiative also included the agricultural sector through agricultural bank loans, the purpose of which is to establish poultry fields and feed factories, establish and rehabilitate hatcheries, raise cows, the milk industry, purchase agricultural harvesters and other projects within the agricultural sector, in addition to financing small and medium projects for citizens, which will allow them to Establish their projects according to their specializations, and the process will contribute to providing thousands of job opportunities and employing the unemployed.”
    He pointed out, "The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has identified, in coordination with the Central Bank and banks, the mechanisms and conditions for lending, with the allocation of electronic platforms for the purposes of registration and directing the lending process."
    And he stated, "For large projects whose amount exceeds (250) million dinars, the Central Bank has set several conditions, including the submission of an economic feasibility study for the project, from a competent and accredited body, and the bank will check that study."
