Shafaq News/ The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, and the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, stressed on Thursday the need to activate serious dialogue regarding future alliances to ensure the interests of Iraq and its people.
A statement issued by Al-Sadr's office, received by Shafaq News Agency, said that Al-Sadr received an important phone call from Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani, and they discussed the need to communicate for the interests of Iraq and the people.
He added that the two sides "agreed to activate serious dialogue regarding future alliances in a way that guarantees the interests of the country and the people who are waiting for the ratification of the election results to restore their prestige and dignity and provide a comfortable life."
During the past days, the Kurdistan Region witnessed the influx of many delegations of Shiite and Sunni political blocs to discuss with Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani about the mechanism of forming the next federal government.
