, the winning candidate in the elections, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, called on the government and political forces, on Sunday, to choose the best personalities in terms of competence and integrity, for the position of governor.
Al-Sudani said in a tweet, which was followed by Mawazine News, that "the governor, by virtue of his duties and powers, is like a mini-prime minister in his province."
He added, "The government and political forces had and still have to choose the best personalities, in terms of competence and integrity, for this position that is in direct contact with the citizen, because its success is stability for the province and the country, and its failure is a threat to its security and stability."
