Parliament member Dergham Sabah confirmed, on Monday, that the parliament’s media department will announce a list of candidates for the post of President of the Republic, indicating that almost certain information indicated that Fouad Hussein was added as an alternative candidate for Zebari.
Sabah said in a statement to / the information /, that "it is scheduled to be announced today, a list of the names of candidates for the post of president of the republic."
He added, "Almost certain information indicates that the Kurdistan Democratic Party has pushed an alternative candidate for the candidate expelled by the Federal Court, Hoshyar Zebari, who is Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein."
The Federal Court ruled, on Sunday, to expel the Kurdistan Democratic Party candidate Hoshyar Zebari from running for the presidency because of corruption charges against him. End/25PM
