Sales of the Central Bank of Iraq rose from the dollar, on Monday, to reach more than 212 million dollars.
Today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, the Central Bank witnessed an increase in dollar sales to reach 212 million and 648 thousand and 771 US dollars, covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to yesterday, Sunday, in which sales amounted to 206 million and 829 thousand and 963 dollars.
He added that foreign remittances rose today compared to cash sales, as remittances amounted to 155 million and 248 thousand and 771 dollars, while the remaining amount of 57 million and 400 thousand dollars went in cash.
And 27 banks fulfilled requests to enhance balances abroad, and 20 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 195 mediating companies.
