Earth News/ The Ministry of Finance announced today, Thursday, the start of the General Authority of Customs to automate its procedures.
The ministry stated in a statement, received by Earth News, that "under the direct guidance of Minister Ali Abdul-Amir Allawi, and under the supervision of the Director General of the General Customs Authority, Shaker Al-Zubaidi, the authority received today, Thursday, the international team assigned by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to start implementing the Scuda system. And the ministry continued, "This system is adopted in many countries of the world and will contribute to the development of the authority's departments, improving its performance, achieving effective management, as well as achieving financial sustainability and diversifying the economy in accordance with the principle of integrity, transparency and fighting corruption, as well as transforming the departments of the General Customs Authority into important sources to maximize the state's financial resources, which It is the second largest financial revenue after oil.
