The Ministry of Planning is preparing to work on a new strategy to reduce poverty for the years (2023-2027), while stressing that priority will be on food security.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, confirmed in a statement to "Al-Sabah" newspaper, which was seen by "The Information", "the launch of the economic and social survey is imminent, which will give indicators of poverty and its reality according to the latest developments."
He added that "the poverty strategy includes health status, housing and education, as well as family income to determine the standard of living and its suitability for living," noting that "each of these axes will be developed special policies for implementation by the concerned authorities."
Al-Hindawi added that "the priority in work will be food security," noting that "it falls within the paragraph of the standard of living that guarantees the provision of food and then the provision of other life requirements." finished/25
