The Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced, on Monday, the presentation of the first environmentally friendly industrial city as an investment opportunity in Wasit Governorate, with an area of more than five thousand acres.
The Director of Planning and Studies in the Industrial Cities Authority of the Ministry, Amal Hassan Al-Bazzouni, said in a statement seen by "The Information", that "the city is intended for small and medium projects, where the authority will review and study the offers submitted by investors, in order to then choose the most appropriate."
She explained, "Wasit Industrial City is one of the large cities because it is characterized by a large area, in addition to its geographical location close to Baghdad, which will encourage the transfer of industrial activities from within the city."
Al-Bazzouni added, "The authority was keen to make the industrial city environmentally friendly by establishing factories that use waste treatment units that it poses and reduce carbon emissions that cause environmental damage, in addition to its privilege with large green spaces and the use of devices to sense air quality as well as renewable electric energy." finished/25
