Member of the Oil and Gas Committee Intisar Al-Moussawi revealed, on Tuesday, the intention of the House of Representatives to form a special committee to follow up on oil smuggling operations outside Iraq, noting that the secrets of oil smuggling are thorny, complex and dangerous.

Al-Moussawi said in a statement to "The Information", that "the next legislative term will witness the formation of a special committee that will follow up on the work of oil companies on what was recently raised about the existence of smuggling operations for Iraqi crude oil."
She added that "there are authoritarian parties smuggling oil, and this matter is not hidden to anyone after 2003, and the weakness of the law encouraged local families to manage the smuggling operations."
Al-Moussawi indicated that "the Iraqi government is not in control of the oil smuggling file," stressing that "the House of Representatives intends to form a special committee to follow up on this file and where the money goes." finished / 25 h
