    [size=45]Fouad Hussein, who is participating in the national meeting called by Mustafa Al-Kazemi today, representing the Kurdistan Democratic Party, announced that the meeting will not witness any decision being taken, and will discuss the initiatives put forward to resolve the political crisis.

    Fuad Hussein told Rudaw Media Network that the meeting aims to bring about a rapprochement between the political parties, and to discuss the initiatives that have been put forward to solve the political crisis in Iraq.[/size]

    [size=45]A special source told Rudaw Media Network, today, Wednesday (August 17, 2022), that the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, will not participate in the national meeting called by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, which will be held at one o'clock this afternoon.[/size]
    [size=45]Yesterday, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, called the leaders of the national political forces to a “national meeting at the Government Palace today, Wednesday; To start a serious national dialogue and common thinking, in order to find solutions to the current political crisis.”[/size]
    [size=45]In a cabinet statement, he also called on all national parties to “stop the popular and media escalation, and give sufficient space for moderate proposals; to take its place in the national debate.”[/size]
    [size=45]He stressed that "Iraq is a trust in the necks of all of us, and the interest of our country requires everyone to give precedence to the language of dialogue, to give time and opportunity to sound national intentions, and to cut off the path to trolls of sedition and disputes."[/size]
    [size=45]In the context, he stressed that “state institutions and security and military agencies decided - out of national concern - not to be a party to any political dispute, and that our focus is on preventing any effects of the political crisis on people’s interests and security, and we call upon the media and cultural, social and political elites to contribute to Devoting the patriotic spirit, and not frightening people, but rather helping state institutions to carry out their tasks in serving our people, and in ensuring security and stability.”[/size]
    [size=45]Baghdad witnessed mass demonstrations on Wednesday (July 27, 2022), during which the demonstrators stormed the Iraqi parliament building, and withdrew after the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, asked them to do so. Then, on Saturday (July 30, 2022), the demonstrators returned to the Green Zone and the parliament building. The start of an open sit-in, and the coordination framework responded to the Sadrists’ demonstrations with a demonstration near the Green Zone from the side of the Muallaq Bridge, on Monday afternoon (August 1, 2022), and then withdrew from the place.[/size]
    [size=45]On Friday (August 12, 2022), the supporters of the Sadrist movement held a Friday prayer in the Green Zone. Supporters of the coordination framework responded to them in the afternoon of the same day with a demonstration in front of the Green Zone from the side of the suspension bridge, and then they set up the sit-in tents.[/size]
