Today, Tuesday, the Minister of Electricity, Adel Karim, directed that the ministry’s employees be on alert for 24 hours.
The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Moussa, said, "The Minister of Electricity has directed, since yesterday, to mobilize the ministry's employees for 24 hours," noting that "he instructed general managers and directors of branches and sectors to be in their headquarters throughout the day, and to open stores completely to equip maintenance teams." .
He added, "He constantly directed the exception of lighting for all the main streets and roads in Baghdad to help the security forces perform their duties," noting that "the alert is complete and the maintenance teams are on the move."
Moussa called on "the joint operations and the Baghdad Operations Command to facilitate the passage of maintenance teams and to exclude them from some sectors so that they can perform their role."
