A parliamentarian reveals the pledges made by the Sudanese regarding the Yazidis and Sinjar
Shafaq News/ The head of the Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee, MP Mahma Khalil, revealed on Saturday, the pledges made by the new Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, concerning the Yazidis and Sinjar, asking him to implement them.
In a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, Khalil called on the Sudanese to "implement his government program in practice, and not to forget the poor and minorities, especially the Yazidi religious minority, and to have representation in the Iraqi state institutions, and to implement the Sinjar Agreement signed between the governments of the region and the center and under UN supervision."
He continued: "The previous governments did not do justice to the Yazidis who were subjected to extermination, killing, looting, displacement and captivity, but rather contributed to their extermination in terms of knowing or not knowing, and their suffering and the loss of their rights," addressing Al-Sudani by saying: "We are waiting for you to remove all the remnants of the past."
Khalil explained that Al-Sudani promised to "preserve and reconstruct Sinjar's rights and end the file of the displaced by preparing a suitable ground for their return to it, as well as implementing and visiting the Sinjar Agreement and appointing 2,500 policemen from the people of the judiciary."
