Today, Wednesday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee announced expected figures for the oil price, the deficit, and the size of the 2023 budget.
Committee member Mueen Al-Kazemi said, "The total rate of the 2023 budget will range between (110-120) trillion dinars, according to expected expenditures."
He added, "In the event that the total revenue rate of budget revenues reaches 140 trillion dinars, then the expected deficit is 20 trillion dinars."
Regarding the expected price of a barrel of oil in the budget, Al-Kadhimi indicated that "the price of a barrel of oil in the 2021 budget amounted to 45 dollars, while in the 2023 budget it will be more than 60 dollars," according to the official news agency.
