Today, Friday, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, affirmed Parliament's support for the efforts of the judiciary, oversight institutions, and the Supreme Committee for Combating Corruption in confronting the scourge of financial and administrative corruption.
Al-Mandalawi said in a tweet, "On the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day, we affirm our support for the efforts of the judiciary, oversight institutions, and the Supreme Committee for Combating Corruption, in confronting the scourge of financial and administrative corruption."
He added, "We commend all the efforts made by the government since its inception in confronting wrong behaviors and practices."
He continued, "We have no way but to confront corruption in order to preserve the state and its institutions and gain the confidence of citizens, and it is not possible to allow the spread of expediency at the expense of the public interest."
