Today, Wednesday, the Integrity Commission revealed that it had granted a loan of more than three billion dinars; To establish a fictitious laboratory in the province of Babil, which does not exist on the ground.
In a statement received by the National News Center, the Commission’s Investigation Department stated that “a team of the staff of the Commission’s investigation office in Babil managed, during a seizure operation that was carried out according to a judicial note, to seize the file of a fake laboratory in the province.”
She indicated that, “Through the course of the investigation and investigative procedures, it was found that a branch of the Industrial Bank in Baghdad granted a loan in the amount of (3,200,000,000) billion dinars, indicating that the loan was granted to a borrower in 2016; for the purpose of establishing a waste recycling and compaction plant.
She added, “The work team, accompanied by the specialized employees of the Hilla Municipality, conducted an on-site inspection of the factory, which turned out to be “fake,” pointing out that the borrower rented a piece of land belonging to the municipality of Hilla at an annual rent of (18,750,000) million dinars. The borrower has not paid the rent since 2017 until now, while the Hilla municipality has not taken any action to collect the annual rent that has not been paid for a period of (6) years.”
