    On Saturday, the Integrity Commission revealed that an amount of (1,098,543,127) billion dinars was wasted from public money in the Maysan Agriculture Directorate, noting that the amount was spent for research stations and pistachio projects in the province.
    The Commission's Investigation Department said, "The team of the Maysan Investigation Office, which moved to the University of Maysan, monitored an overrun of financial allocations in the 2021 budget," noting that "the volume of the overrun amounted to (1,573,225,000) billion dinars."
    And she noted, "The team was able, after investigation and audit, to set the priorities for withdrawing an amount from the university's account with the Rasheed Bank."
    And she continued, “The team was able, in another operation, to seize (5) bills of exchange payable and unpaid by the beneficiary and his sponsors in one of the branches of Al-Rafidain Bank in the city of Amarah,” explaining that “the total sums of the bills that were spent in violation of the instructions, amounted to (with interest) 300,000,000) million dinars.
    And she added, "In the governorate's health department, violations were caught in two contracts for the purchase of medical devices at an amount of (156,805,000) million dinars." ) from the budget instructions for the year 2019, which stipulated not to enter into any contractual obligation after the date of 12/15/2019.
