    [rtl]Today, Sunday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced the arrest of (9) employees in the Salah al-Din Governorate Health Department. For their involvement in manipulation and wasting more than two billion dinars of public money.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The department stated, in a statement received by “Al-Iqtisad News,” that “the special investigation team in the Salah al-Din Investigation Office, which moved to the governorate’s health department, was able, after conducting investigation, auditing, and collecting information, to uncover the presence of a large number of fictitious and duplicate names that had been entered into lists.” People who had nasal swabs performed for the purpose of diagnosing infection with the “Corona” epidemic.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]She added, "The team arrested the head and members of the Purchasing, Drug Inspection and Receipt Committees and the storekeeper in the Health Department, who numbered (9) accused, after monitoring an exaggeration in the prices of purchasing laboratory materials used for nasal swabs by concluding fictitious contracts to prepare medicines and medical and laboratory supplies in the year 2021." With a value of (2,071,690,000) two billion dinars,” indicating that “the defendants submitted fake purchase receipts in the names of a number of drug processing offices.”[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]She explained, “The defendants were arrested in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code, and a formal arrest report was prepared for the operation carried out pursuant to a judicial warrant, and they were presented to the competent investigating judge, who decided to arrest them pending investigation.”[/rtl]
