Shafaq News/ An Iraqi parliamentarian announced, on Saturday, that he had collected parliamentary signatures to discuss the central bank's policies and procedures regarding the rise in dollar exchange rates and the decline in the local currency exchange, in the presence of the bank's governor in parliament.
An official letter signed by Representative Raed Hamdan Al-Maliki, addressed to the Presidency of Parliament, obtained by Shafaq News Agency, stated that after collecting the signatures of more than 30 deputies to raise the issue of discussing the policies and procedures of the Central Bank regarding the rise in dollar exchange rates, please direct that measures be taken in the presence of the bank governor Central to discuss the policy of dollar exchange procedures and its instability in the markets, as its impact has clearly emerged on the prices of goods and services and its negative effects on the lives of citizens and the Iraqi economy as a whole.
