The head of the Wojoud Movement, Muhammad Abu Saeeda, confirmed today, Sunday, that Iran urged Nechirvan Barzani to participate in the Democratic Party in the upcoming elections for the regional parliament, keep Kurdistan away from interference, and ensure the solution of internal problems with other parties.

Abu Saeeda told Al-Maalouma, “Barzani’s party has not decided whether to participate in the Kurdistan Parliament elections, although many parties asked him to participate in them, but he set conditions before proceeding with participation.”
He added, "The party stipulated that the High Commission in Baghdad not interfere directly in the electoral process in the region and that the ballot be managed by a commission."
He stated that “Nechirvan Barzani visited Iran and urged him to participate in the elections and preserve the democratic process in Iraq.” End 25 n.
