    The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received, at the Baghdad Palace, the Commander of the Joint Forces Command in Naples, General Sturt Muench, and the Commander of the NATO Mission in Iraq, General Giovanni Anucci.
    During the meeting, the mission's missions in Iraq were reviewed, and its role in providing advice and training to the Iraqi security forces for the purpose of qualifying them and raising their military capabilities.
    The President of the Republic affirmed that Iraq seeks to develop its military and intelligence capabilities in cooperation with friends in order to consolidate security and stability in Iraqi cities, in a way that enhances its efforts in combating terrorism and eliminating its hotbeds.

    The President of the Republic spoke about his recent visit to Davos and the discussions that took place about the current war between Russia and Ukraine, stressing what he referred to at the conference that wars and conflicts cause material, economic and military losses and civilian casualties, and his hope that conflicts and wars will end so that peace prevails in the world, recalling With the absurd wars that Iraq has gone through, which caused huge sums of money to be spent, halted the country's development and growth, and had negative economic impacts in most fields. 
    The President of the Republic added that the capital, Baghdad, and the rest of the Iraqi cities are witnessing an improvement and security stability during the last two years, which contributes to the success of the government’s program, to which we provide procedural facilities to implement its program, especially with regard to important strategic projects, which was reflected positively on public life, as it witnessed a development in the provision of services. necessary and rehabilitating the infrastructure, stressing the endeavor to improve conditions by attracting investments and advancing the reality of the Iraqi economy, especially the project to develop and expand the industrial city of Fao, modernize transportation, petrochemical industries and renewable energy, stop burning gas and benefit from it industrially, in addition to hosting conferences and sports festivals, and improving the reality of education reforming the course of this vital sector.
     The President of the Republic referred to his visit to the states of Algeria and Egypt and the desire of the Arab countries to cooperate in consolidating the stability of Iraq, as it will contribute to the stability of the entire Middle East region due to Iraq's strategic importance and influence over the Arab region. 
    The President of the Republic touched on improving relations between the federal government and the Kurdistan region, as they serve the stability of Iraq, as well as the situation regarding the security of the Iraqi borders, especially with Turkey, and joint discussions related to the issue of water and the safety and security of citizens, which is what the Iraqi army achieves in cooperation with the Peshmerga forces on the Iraqi borders.
    The President of the Republic, Dr. Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, praised the positions of NATO in support of Iraq in its war against terrorism, and its role in the framework of programs to build military capabilities and provide security advice, expressing his hope for continued cooperation in a way that achieves the desired goals in strengthening the country's security.
    In turn, the commander of the Joint Forces Command in Naples expressed the alliance's desire to consolidate relations with Iraq in the next stage, stressing the importance of joint action and coordination to combat terrorism, and the need for the mission to communicate with various Iraqi authorities in a way that contributes to the success of its missions in Iraq.
