    Parliament decided, on Saturday, to adjourn its session to next Monday.


    The media department of the Council stated in a brief statement, received by Alsumaria News, that "the House of Representatives adjourned its session to next Monday."

    Earlier in the day, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi opened Parliament session No. (3) of the second legislative year / the first legislative term, in the presence of 199 deputies.






    The session included the completion of the first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the international agreement regarding the establishment of an international fund to compensate for damages from oil pollution for the year 1992. Between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

    The House of Representatives also completed, during today's session, the first reading of the draft law for the Institute for the Preparation of Police Commissioners. Then he finished the report and discussion of the draft law ratifying the Basic Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). In addition to finalizing the report and discussing the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Hague System of Private International Law.
