Members of the House of Representatives reported the formation of investigative committees in several directions regarding the legal violations that accompanied the work of the previous government, especially in the investment file and the transfer of lands to foreign investors without legal cover, indicating that the step of abolishing the offices of the inspectors general contributed to an increase in corruption in several files, including what is known as the “theft of the century.” .
The representative of the Parliamentary Strategic Planning Committee, Souad Al-Maliki, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “The committee is working on many files, including the (land of transmitters) file that belongs to the employees of (the Iraqi Media Network), which was invested by a non-local foreign investor.” , indicating that “the committee addressed the competent authorities that the land was invested by a Saudi investor who did not meet the conditions,” pledging to “recover (the land of the transmitters) and redistribute it to the (network) employees.”
And she explained, “The investor is supposed to be national, and this point only cancels the investment completely.” She added, “The committee will work to host those responsible for the (land of transmitters) file until the file is completed, and other procedures will follow.”
Al-Maliki pointed out that “the committee is working on many files, including files of legal violations,” indicating that “the committee is concerned with working in all ministries, not a specific ministry, and that we are working in parallel with the government program.” She indicated that “the committee will work to monitor all plans.” The current government's strategy, including housing and strategic levels

She added that "the abolition of the offices of the inspectors general contributed to an increase in corruption, as happened in the (deal of the century)," and indicated that "there are parliamentary movements and demands to reconsider the return of the inspectors' offices in all ministries and agencies to follow up and limit corruption," stressing that "the wrong step of canceling the inspectors' offices is borne by you."
