The official spokesman for the ministry, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, "The Central Statistical Organization teams, through its follow-up to the movement of prices in the Iraqi local markets, in all governorates, recorded changes in the rate of inflation during the aforementioned month."
He added that "the increase in the monthly average was affected by the increase in a number of commodity totals, as the prices of the transport department witnessed an increase of (7.7%), and the restaurants department recorded an increase in its prices by (6.7%), while the supplies and equipment department increased its prices by (4.2%). %), and the Miscellaneous Goods and Services section rose by (3.9%) as a result of the rise in gold prices without wording, and the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages recorded an increase by (3.8%).
Regarding the annual inflation rate, the statement indicated that it "recorded an increase of (7.2%), compared to the first month of the previous year 2022."
He pointed out that "the monthly inflation rate during the last month of 2022 (December) had recorded an increase of (0.3%)."

The Ministry of Planning announced today, Tuesday, that it had monitored an increase in the inflation rate during the month of January, at a rate of (3.6%), compared to the last month of the year 2022.
