Today, the activities of the Security, Defense and Military Industries Exhibition conclude in its eleventh session, which witnessed the presentation of various products in the field of military industries, including light, medium and heavy weapons, and discussing prospects for cooperation with participating international companies to enhance security and military capabilities.
The exhibition, which lasted for four days, witnessed the participation of 23 international companies of different nationalities and dozens of local companies.
The exhibition is an annual event that takes place on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair and receives visits and a wide presence from those concerned with the security and military aspects to see the latest developments in these areas.
The Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, told Al-Sabah: The ministry is working to encourage the Military Industrialization Authority's production of vehicles and weapons, as the authority was contracted to purchase 25,000 pistols from the Babel company, in addition to purchasing military vehicles.
He pointed out that the ministry participated in a number of pavilions in the activities of this vital exhibition, which mainly supports the development of security and military aspects and discusses the latest developments in these aspects.
For his part, the head of the Military Industrialization Authority, Mustafa Ati Hassan, told Al-Sabah: The security, defense and military industries exhibition was organized in cooperation with a number of concerned authorities, including trade and defense.
He added that 23 international companies of different nationalities participated in the exhibition, in addition to local companies from the private sector.
He referred to the Commission's participation in a distinguished pavilion this year, through which it sought to inform officials of the security services of all kinds and formations about their products of various weapons and light, medium and heavy equipment, as it witnessed the visit of the Ministers of Defense and Interior, the Office of the President of the Republic and military leaders.

And he indicated that the exhibition is the most important military and security event to support the armed forces and security services to provide them with the national industry capable of achieving their requirements. Hassan stated that the Authority is ready to contract and cooperate with the local private sector and international companies in accordance with Law 25 of 1919 to modernize, develop and support national production. On the sidelines of the exhibition, it discussed prospects for cooperation in this file with specialized companies. In turn, the Director of Relations and Information at the Ministry of the Interior, Major General Dr. Saad Maan, told Al-Sabah: “Holding the exhibition is an important and new opportunity to see the latest advanced military products, expertise and experiences of the world, information technology that contributes to the development of military and security production, and the conclusion of appropriate contracts to serve the aspects the wish".
